Improvement of aerobic stability, protection against reheating and surface treatment. Maize and CCM 30 - 45 % dry matter.
Silages with high contents of dry matter (> 40 %) bear a high risk of secondary fermentations. They are caused by mould fungus, yeasts and putrefactive bacteria, which find optimal life conditions in opened silages and poorly consolidated areas. Incoming oxygen activates the growth of bacteria, fungi and yeasts, which in turn leads to decomposition of lactic acid, to an increase of the pH-value and to further spoilage.
BERGO® Lactosil Fresh contains special lactobacilli, which also produce acetic acid. This prevents an increasing pH-value under aerobic condition
